Who I Am
I'm Mr EchoPoint. I'm someone who cares about what's happening in South Africa and isn't afraid to voice my thoughts about it.
I pay attention to policy changes, economic trends, crime statistics, and political developments. I share my perspective on what it all means—for the country and for people living in it.
This is a personal commentary platform. The opinions here are mine. They're informed by research, observation, and engagement with the issues, but they're not neutral—I don't pretend they are.
What I Stand For
I say what I think. Not to shock. Not for controversy. But because I believe clarity matters more than diplomatic silence.
My opinions aren't guesses. They're built on data, news, expert insights, and actual engagement with the issues I discuss.
I criticize policies and people across political lines. Not because I'm "balanced," but because bad governance deserves criticism wherever it comes from.
My focus is on what's best for the country and the people in it. Everything else—politics, factional interest—comes second.
What You'll Find Here
Featured Takes: Deep dives into major issues. Well-researched analysis of the problems I think deserve attention.
Commentary: Shorter pieces responding to current events, news, and important developments. My immediate reactions and analysis.
Trending: Issues I'm keeping an eye on, even if they're not getting mainstream coverage. The stories I think matter.
What This Isn't
I'm not a news organization. I'm not breaking stories. I'm not trying to be neutral or objective—that's not the point. I'm offering one person's analysis and perspective on what I see happening.
This is commentary. It's subjective. It's informed, but it's still personal. And I think that's valuable—one voice, clearly identified as such, making sense of current events.

You don't need to agree with my takes. In fact, I hope you engage with them. You think I'm wrong about something? Tell me. You have a different perspective? I'd like to hear it.
Thanks for reading. Stay critical.
